Working with bookmarks

This section covers bookmark setting, recalling and the basic user administration within the Bookmarks drop-down box.

Use the Set bookmark x_TT_Set_bookmarks.png icon in the toolbar to set bookmarks for your frequently used places in the application.

Bookmarkable places

If setting a bookmark is possible, the Set bookmark icon is displayed in full contrast (not grayed out). You can set a bookmark for the following places:

  • On a catalog object in the sidebar - the bookmark will open the catalog

  • Inside an open catalog - the bookmark will open the catalog

  • Inside an open editor - the bookmark will open the currently displayed object for editing

A note on customization differences: The availability of the Set bookmark command for a given catalog or editor depends on customization. Some catalog and editor modes may not be bookmarkable. By default, catalog Normal and Master-Detail modes and editor Edit mode are enabled for bookmarking . Actual customization can be done via the Action Customizer.

Depending on customization, bookmarks can be created in an automatic or manual mode.

  1. Click the 'Set bookmark' icon.

A confirmation message appears for a short time and the bookmark gets created.

  2. The bookmark is created with an automatically prefilled name and stored automatically in the default bookmarks folder.

Creating a bookmark in the manual mode:

  1. Click the 'Set bookmark' icon. A 'New bookmark' dialog gets displayed.
