Editors
Editors (views) are custom-defined forms displaying data contained in one instance of a business object type. An editor is launched whenever a business object needs to be edited or created.
In addition to the object's own data (displayed in so called ), an editor can also display data contained in a referenced object (displayed in so called ) or a collection of referenced objects (displayed in so called ). All the information is usually split into multiple groups displayed as either separate tabs (editor in Classic view) or expandable sections (editor in Section view).
In USU Service Management, editors are also referred to as views. Although in most cases the terms are used interchangeably, the following distinction can be made:
Editors are views used for editing and creation of business objects.
The term view is used more broadly, also including special "editors" such as reference views or several types of search views.
All types of views can be created and customized using the View Customizer.
